Yoga & Meditation for Veterans

Spc. David Kocian, a human resources specialist in the Pennsylvania National Guard's 28th Combat Aviation Brigade, teaches a yoga class at Camp Adder, Iraq. The 21-year Army veteran is a Pittsburgh, Pa., native, and Palmyra resident. He bagan teaching yoga during the 28th CAB's mobilization because soldiers showed significant interest when they discovered he was an avid student of yoga.

The efficacy of yoga and meditation practices for veterans suffering from PTSD or post-combat reintegration is now well-documented. A specially designed yoga and meditation class creates space for veterans to connect to their breath and to their bodies, and to re-train the mind to recognize and defuse psychological stress triggers before they activate.

I offer a low-cost private instruction rate for veterans and can accommodate groups of up to four in my home studio, also at a discounted private class rate. I am also available to come to your home or office, or to teach a Veterans Yoga & Meditation Class at any appropriate off-site location in the Dallas area.

Please use my contact form to find out my private sessions or classes for Veterans.
