Bringing together the three therapeutic strands of my training: 1 – yoga and functional and somatic movement, 2 – trauma informed yoga (where appropriate), and 3 – Jungian Coaching, which utilizes concepts from dream analysis and the discussion of personality and the archetypes. This is truly “integrative” work for anyone looking to deepen their practice from the soma (body) into the realm of soul, or psyche.
In this work, we take the long view. We examine your life story, we look at the present, and we talk about what shape you’d like the next part of your life to take. We do this by examining dream imagery, the archetypes that may be most prominent or under-developed in your life to this point, and may incorporate one-on-one iRest Co-Meditation Dyad sessions to help elicit embodied messengers. This work takes the practical application of breathing and yoga posture to the deeper levels of introspection – a focused awareness of conscious processes and an exploration of the personal and collective unconscious that often manifest as symbols and dream figures.
Who will Jungian Coaching benefit? Many of us approaching (or already in the throes of) midlife may feel we have yet to realize a deeper purpose, to find a calling that feels personally authentic. This sense of dissatisfaction can manifest as spiritual restlessness, an urge to create, to re-examine the stories of our past as a way to chart a more fulfilling second half of life. If you’ve ever been interested in how symbols, myths and dreams impact personality and want to be a more active participant in the writing of your own myth, this work is for you.
