Hard to believe, but this year marks the 20th that I’ve been a student of yoga. And I’ve been teaching yoga now for half of those years. A little over four years ago I decided to put all other work aside and pursue only this. I have days and weeks – little arches of time – where I’m as full as I can be with teaching. And then those peaks sometimes become valleys as students move on, move away or otherwise transition toward something different: a group class, a new job, or family obligation.
I always hope as we take leave of one another that I have helped them to develop this gift – this capacity to see inward, to remember the innate connection of body, breath and mind as the foundation for a deeper knowing of themselves that is also an abiding source of strength and resiliency in the face of illness or stress or despair. This, on top of renewed strength, flexibility, balance and peace.
All year long I offer a special gift rate for one or two private sessions with me, in the comfort of a home or office space, or here at my home studio. With the giving season upon us, please consider offering a new student the chance to explore a customized yoga practice. Fill out my contact form with any questions you might have about yoga or about me, and visit my Gift Certificate page to purchase a session or two for yourself or for a friend or family member.
I look forward to working with you in 2017.
